Tom Potter is experienced in several areas of civil law including wills and trusts, probate, real estate, insurance, litigation, taxation, antitrust, drainage and eminent domain. Mr. Potter is a member of Attorneys’ Title Guaranty Fund and is an authorized title insurance agent. He handles trials and appeals in Illinois and Iowa.
Mr. Potter began practicing law in Washington County, Iowa, where he served as a judicial magistrate from 1977 through 1981. He then returned to Morrison to become an associate with the firm. A graduate of Carleton College and the University of Iowa College of Law, Mr. Potter has served on the hearing board of the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission and the Sterling Park Board. He is presently serving as a Special Assistant Attorney General for land acquisition matters.
